| Animal related activities in school |

 The curriculum theme of “Animals” in the month of July was great for the students who participated in various interesting activities to gather knowledge around this theme.
There was the Animal Race as part of which the kids held masks of various animals – like dog, monkey, rabbit, lion and elephant – in their hands and raced to the spot where the food of these animals was placed in the front lawns of the school. They had to take the mask to the pile of food that the particular animal takes. Then there was the activity in which the students placed the paper tails of various animals on the tail-less cut-outs. There was also the activity where the teachers called out the name of a particular animal and the students were required to pick up a toy representing that animal and hand it to the class-teacher. Thus, the students learnt about the animal kingdom in a joyous manner through these and other activities.
